I photographed a number of Elvis Tribute Artists and all the while I was wondering who these men were outside of their Elvishood. So I invited myself into their homes and photographed them as themselves and as Elvis too. I wanted to explore the depth to which they are connected to and influenced in their personal lives by a long dead icon, to get more understanding into their drive to pursue being and Elvis Impersonator despite the often negative and ridiculing perceptions of those uninvolved in Elvis festivals and shows that are multiplying around the World. Here is a sweet moment of a young man writing music with Elvis in mind. Still living with his parents in a small town a Canadian boy with hockey trophies finds music thanks to Elvis 30 years after the star's death.
